Microsoft Windows 11

Hello.  I have an Omen 30L with Hana 8876 motherboard.  I currently run an 3060ti GPU. I'm considering upgrading to a 4070. Will it fit?  And what is the best rated card that will fit this pc?

@Kswan34,

Welcome to our HP Community forum!

Both your RTX 3060 Ti and an RTX 4070 have a 200-watt TDP, so you should be able to swap these cards without having to upgrade your (ATX) power supply.

I would recommend a smaller-sized (dual fan) RTX 4070 powered by a single 8-pin PCIe power cable, such as this Asus model: https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/asus-dual-rtx-4070-evo-oc.b11810.

Then there is an RTX 4070 Super, which has a slightly higher TDP (220-watt), and just to be safe, I would recommend upgrading your power supply to at least a 600-watt unit. I would recommend a smaller-sized card as well, such as this Asus model: https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/asus-dual-rtx-4070-super-evo-oc.b11625.

Then there is an RTX 4070 Ti Super, which requires a 750-watt power supply. Again, I would recommend a smaller-sized card, such as this MSI model: https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/msi-rtx-4070-ti-super-ventus-2x-oc.b11525.

Btw, the last two cards require a 16-pin ("12VHPWR") PCIe power adapter cable, such as this one if you need it (there are two types, depending on which one will best fit your graphics card): https://www.amazon.com/JOYJOM-12VHPWR-Degree-Adapter-8Pin/dp/B0C4TP4CVW/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=EKX9SA5....

Kind Regards,

Thanks!  I really appreciate the speedy reply.  I had no clue about the dual fan/8 pin info.. The 4070 Super is calling my name!  Lol
