Hello. We have 4 HP Desktop in our office. We are using Samsung LS49CG954EUXUF Monitors. We decided to upgrade our desktop with a gpu. But we can't be sure if the psu will be enough. Here is the 4 desktop we are using:

-HP Pro Tower 400 G9 PCI Desktop PCx1

-HP EliteDesk 8 Tower G1i Desktop AI PCx3

And this the gpu that we want to upgrade with one of them

-GAINWARD RTX3050 PEGASUS

-Msi GeForce RTX™ 3050 LP E 6G OC

So if anyone with that experience please share with me, thank you.

@imchill,

Welcome to our HP Community forum!

Relevant to this discussion: the HP Pro Tower 400 G9 PCI Desktop PC is either fitted with a 180, 260, or a 400-watt power supply.

The HP EliteDesk 8 Tower G1i Desktop is fitted with either a 180 or a 280-watt power supply.

The Gainward GeForce RTX 3050 Pegasus has a whopping 130-watt TDP and requires an 8-pin PCIe power cable.

I would NOT use this graphics card,

On the other hand, the MSI RTX 3050 Low Profile OC 6 GB (use the full-size PCI bracket), has only a 70-watt TDP and does not require a PCIe power cable.  This makes this GPU much more compatible with lower-end power supplies.

Kind Regards,

Hello. Thanks for reply. We changed other PC to HP EliteDesk 8 Tower G1i Desktop AI PC. And all 4 PC has 280W PSU. So Msi GeForce RTX™ 3050 LP E 6G OC is the best choice for gpu without any psu issiues.
