Im thinking of upgrading my gt 710 to a gt 1030 low-profile ddr5 version, will it be feasible? and are there other alternative gpus?

Yes, I believe that the GT1030 GDDR5 low profile would work fine in your PC.
It only has a 30W power draw so your 180W power supply should be able to support it.
You probably will need one that comes with a fan because the fanless models heatsinks may be too wide for your PC's slim form factor case.
I have fanless GT 1030 GDDR5's in a couple of my standard tower PC's where there is plenty of room for the fanless heatsink.

You'd have to upgrade the power supply for anything better, and if you want to do that, please start a new discussion.
