ATI Radeon HD 3650 PCI3 512MB
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I have an HP Compaq dx7500 Microtower and need to add a Video Card, the outside venders are telling me that this card should work, but I want to make sure I dont need to upgrade my power supply to use this video card:

ATI Radeon HD 3650 PCI3 512MB memory graphics card (Dual).  I cant seem to find any technical information or help in making my decision. Has anyone dealt with this problem? Please help if you have any information

Hi:

According to the specs on the link I posted, it is Open GL 2.0.

Maybe you will want to look into a newer model graphics card.

If you are using dual monitors, then you may want to go for the Radeon HD 6350 dual head.

You will need a DMS-59 to VGA or DVI cable.  I prefer DVI because it is digital.

The above card is Open GL 4.0 and will work with power supplies as low as 240 Watts.

If you want to spring for the DMS-59 to DVI cable, then here is what I am referring to...

Hi:

You should be alright with that choice...300W recommended power supply, which your PC has according to its specs.

Paul one more question.  The Program I am upgrading my Video Card for is called Chief Architect Premium. It reccomends a Video Card that  has 512MB of Memory and is also OpenGL 3.3 or higher.  Is this Card Open GL3.3 or higher?

Anytime.

Glad to have been of assistance.

Amazon provides some pretty basic specs on the card, so here are some more detailed specs...

This site says it is Open GL 4.1.  In any event, it should meet your requirements.

I gave mine to my son because he uses dual monitors.  It runs them just fine and also works on W10 too.
