Your OMEN by HP Obelisk Desktop PC - 875-0060 (4NM91AA) as fitted with an Edoras motherboard (SSID: 84FD) and Intel chipset H370. Your motherboard is 24-pin ATX-power enabled, meaning, you could swap your stock 500-watt power supply with any industry standard ATX power supply, as long as you watch its dimensions (LxWxH) for fit inside your case.

With a 500-watt power supply, you could choose to upgrade your GPU to an RTX 2060 Super, RTX 2070, RTX 3060, or an RTX 4060. As mentioned, upgrade your power supply and nothing should stop you from upgrading to anything that will physically fit in your gaming desktop. For example, install a quality 650-watt power supply (equipped with two separate (dual) 8-pin PCIe power rails), and you could power an RTX 3070 Ti, or an RTX 4070 Super or Ti as this User did, as long as you pick a smaller-sized (two-fan) model, such as this one.

And last but not least, you could upgrade your i7-9700K to an i9-9900, i9-9900K or an i9-9900KF, like this HP OMEN by HP Obelisk Desktop 875-0xxx User did.

And if you really want to stand out -and be the first HP OMEN by HP Obelisk Desktop 875-0xxx User to do so, see if you can make an i9-9900KS work like I did with my previous and most recent gaming desktop (upgrade) projects.  This processor may not even be compatible with your motherboard given its whopping 127-watt TDP.  This processor is really bad*ss, in that it runs very hot indeed. But I digress, my bad.

Anyway, all of the above mostly entirely depend on your budget -how much are you willing to spend.  Once you upgrade though, it would be a good idea to think about improving the airflow through your PC by installing one or more cooling fans and/or upgrading your CPU heatsink.

Hope this was helpful.

Kind Regards,

@BreadnBubba,

And about RAM, I would generally recommend 2 x 16GB for gaming and other high-demand uses.

But not all RAM is created equal: HP PCs are quite finnicky when it comes to RAM and/or achieving best RAM speed and performance.

Looking through several hundreds of actual HP OMEN by HP Obelisk Desktop 875-0xxx Users here, the following 2x16GB RAM options offer the best chance of maximum RAM performance (not in any order of preference):

Kingston HP26D4U9D8ME-16X 2x16GB
Crucial Ballistix BL16G26C16U4B.16FD 2x16GB
Kingston Fury KF2666C16D4/16G 2x16GB
Samsung M378A2K43CB1-CTD 2x16GB
Kingston HyperX Fury 2666 C16 2x16GB (p/n: HX426C16FB3K2/16)
