Hello everyone!
I have a Omen 45L GT22-1015nf - NVIDIA® GeForce R working with a:
Intel 13th i9-13900K 32 CPU - 3 GHz
32 Go RAM
NVIDIA GeForce RTX4080 16 Go
2 To SSD
I received a Nvidia RTX 4090 Founder Edition graphic card!
I don’t think it’s a problem to upgrade it but I would like to be sure there isn’t any problem to do it.
i checked the power and I have a 1200W. So enough for this card. I just have to check if I have the right PCIe connections.
so, do you think this upgrade is possible with my configuration?
Thank’s for your answers!

Hi @LevelDLB,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I recommend checking the latest information on Nvidia's official website or other reliable sources to confirm the existence and specifications of the RTX 4090.
Assuming you meant the RTX 3090, I can provide some general guidance. The HP Omen 45L is a gaming desktop, and upgrading the graphics card should be possible if the following conditions are met:
- Physical Size: Ensure that the RTX 3090 (or the correct model you have) will physically fit inside the case. High-end graphics cards like the RTX 3090 are often large, so check the dimensions of the card and the available space in your case.
- Power Supply: You mentioned you have a 1200W power supply, which should be sufficient for the RTX 3090. However, make sure the power supply has the necessary PCIe power connectors required by the graphics card. The RTX 3090 typically requires multiple PCIe power connectors (8-pin and 6-pin or dual 8-pin).
- Motherboard Compatibility: Ensure that your motherboard has the necessary PCIe x16 slot for the graphics card. Most modern motherboards do, but it's always good to double-check.
- Driver Compatibility: Make sure that the graphics card is supported by the operating system and has compatible drivers available. Check Nvidia's official website for the latest drivers.
- BIOS/UEFI Update: Before installing the new graphics card, check if there are any BIOS/UEFI updates available for your motherboard. Sometimes, motherboard manufacturers release updates to improve compatibility with new hardware.
It's important to note that hardware specifications and compatibility can change, so I recommend checking the latest documentation for your specific HP Omen 45L model and the graphics card you have for the most accurate information.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
