Hey guys, I just wanted to ask about a problem Im facing, I am using a hp elite desk 800 g2 i7, I recently bought a graphics card nvidia gt730 for it and it’s showing it isn’t compatible but when I search in online it shows it can be compatible with my pc. Please help!

Hi:
I don't exactly understand the problem you are having.
Did you install the card, and it doesn't work?
I have attached the product specs for the 800 G2 model series and HP offered the GT 730 as an optional card in the MT and SFF form factors. See page 12.
I have a GT 730 in my much older HP 8200 Elite with an intel i7-2600 processor and it works just fine in that one.
I don't see any reason why the card wouldn't work fine in your PC.
It only has a 38W power draw.

What operating system are you running?
When you first installed the graphics card, did you first uninstall the Intel graphics card and driver in the device manager and check the uninstall driver box?
Sometimes if you don't do that, the old driver causes conflicts with the drivers for the new card trying to install.

I would just reinstall W10 with the Nvidia card installed.
Unless the card is defective, there should be no reason why it isn't working.
W10 automatically installs the graphics drivers and then you can go to the Nvidia site and install the latest driver they have for it.
Back up your files that you don't want to lose before reinstalling W10.

Hi:
What is it that you me to tell what to do step by step?
I can't help you get the graphics card to work in its current state.
The only way I know of for you to see if you can get the graphics card to work would be to clean install W10 after you back up any files you need to save to a portable hard drive.
