Pavilion h-8 1202
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

Good evening,

I'd like to know if there is anyone out there that has the Pavillion h-8 1202, It was the top of the line HP desktop when I bought it almost 10 years ago.  I'm looking for a upgrade for the graphics card that's in it right now, NVIDIA GeForce GT520 with 1GB DDR3 dedicated memory. All I would like to know is what graphics cards came after the NVIDIA GT 520 that would be compatible with this computer?  Was there a 600, 700, 800, ect... series NVIDIA graphics card that would have been compatible and a upgrade to the NVIDIA GT 520? Thank you for any help that you can provide.

Respectfully,

uspilot82

Thank you for joining the HP Community

The GTX750Ti is the best GPU that you could potentially run. They come in full height and low profile variants so you can get one to fit almost any PC.

Keep me posted, how it goes!

@uspilot82,

Your motherboard will not accept the GTX750Ti unless it is a dual BIOS (Legacy/UEFI switchable) card.

That computer is an early 2012 motherboard that does not support UEFI.  It has BIOS 7.16 (Legacy).

Verified here

The GT520 is a circa 2011 Legacy card. A card like the GTX 660 is the max, but does need a 550W PSU.

@Raj1788,

I do apologize to you. But saving the OP had to be done quickly.

Good evening wb2001,

Thank you for your response and support, I didn't get a GT 750 but I did purchase this card that's listed below. Will this work in my h8-1202? Thank you again for your help. The card I have in my computer now is the NVIDIA 1GB GT520 DDR3.
