HP ENVY Recline TouchSmart All in One - 23-k300xt CTO
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello everyone,

Ran into some performance issues recently as my son was trying to play some new games he downloaded from Steam. I think the issue is that the graphics card is not as robust as the games need, so I started thinking about whether upgrading the graphics card would be worth the journey. Love this PC, and just recently sunk money into upgrading to SSD, so the PC is performing great.

Any suggestions on graphic card?

Specs:

Windows 10 Home 64-bit

Processor = Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4690T CPU @ 2.50GHz

Current card is Intel HD Graphics 4600

Installed RAM = 16 GB

2TB SSD drive (recently upgraded to SSD, and it blazes now at start up = Great add!)

Thank you all!

Sean

Hi,

Your AIO PC has integrated graphics soldered to the MB.

I am sorry but I see no graphics upgrade options for this PC.

Maybe a different forum member has a work around.

Unfortunately, I also concur with Grzwacz.

According to here: HP ENVY Recline 23-k300xt TouchSmart All-in-One Product Specifications and Configurable Options | HP..., your motherboard is a Laurel2-U (please confirm): HP and Compaq Desktop PCs - Motherboard Specifications, Laurel2-U | HP® Customer Support.

The only MB expansion slot that is available on this MB is to install a PCI Express half-size mini card.

If I am not mistaken, that socket can only be used for a HMC Wi-Fi card.  There is no MXM or PCIe X1 slot, through which we could suggest graphics upgrades workarounds.

Kind Regards,
