I am looking to upgrade the current graphics card (NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1660 Super (6 GB GDDR6 dedicated) to an NVIDA 3050, 3060 or 3070 series.
I'm not sure if the current MB can handle the upgrade. The only info I was could see on the board is
SP# L23867-001 W10 / SSA# L45958-001
This was a custom build I purchased from HP website.

You will need to open the case and take a look at the video card to see if there is a PCIe power connector and cable between the PSU to the video card. The documentation we have available does not show whether or not the HP PSU has one or more PCIe power cables for video cards. Not all HP video cards need the PCIe power cable connected, but the majority of upgrade cards purchased commercially do. The video I supplied that is for your model series desktops shows a video card that does not require the PCIe power cable.

Hi JP1969-10_10,
Whether or not you can upgrade beyond an HP-approved RTX 2080 (8 GB dedicated GDDR6) GPU upgrade for your HP Obelisk Desktop PC - 875-0030qd CTO, depends for one on your PSU. According to HP's specs for your rig, it comes fitted with either a 300 or 500 watt PSU. See Link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/omen-by-hp-obelisk-desktop-pc-875-0000a/23302709/model/23883547...
If it is the case that your desktop is blessed with a 500 watt PSU, then the RTX 3050 would be a compatible GPU power wise for your PC, the RTX 3060 would be iffy, and the RTX 3070 would be unadvisable:
https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/geforce-rtx-3050-8-gb.c3858
RTX 3050 recommended minimum PSU: 300 watt
https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/geforce-rtx-3060-ti.c3681
RTX 3060 recommended minimum PSU: 550 watt
https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/geforce-rtx-3070-ti.c3675
RTX 3070 recommended minimum PSU: 600 watt
Good luck!

I see you made no mention of the actual power cable/connector requirements of the video cards that you suggested.
If the PSU does not have PCIe power cables with the 8-pin connector to supply power to the video card as the spec ifications you link to require, the video card will not work.
That is why I asked the member to take a look inside to see what the PSU has for connectors.

No, you are quite right I did not because the documentation HP provided suggests that such PCIe power connections are/should be available inside the HP Obelisk Desktop PC - 875-0030qd CTO.
Please see link and open pdf "Upgrading and Servicing Guide": OMEN by HP Obelisk Desktop 875-0030qd CTO Manuals | HP® Customer Support

sorry @erico , @NonSequitur777
If I may ..
Be careful because the hp documents are quite generic, and this does not give everything
But we have to wait for @JP1969-10_10 's answer
the graphics card in place, which is not in the list elsewhere
little suggest that the power supply is at least 450w with pci 8 pins
But if we look at this model for example, it is difficult to know what is available
Edoras
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 (3 GB)
One 2x3 (6 pin)
Internal PSU 500 W
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050Ti (4 GB)
nothing
Internal PSU 300 W
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050Ti (4 GB)
Internal PSU 500 W
External power cable: One 2x3 (6 pin); One 2x4 (8 pin)
Internal PSU 500 W
For graphics cards, the requirements vary depending on the manufacturer, for some models it can be at least 650/700w with different options of additional pci connectors required
So, yes, you have to check directly
Sorry for the intervention but it must be clear to the user ,assumptions are not enough

No worries.
Pleasant collaboration is always a good thing when the objective is helping a member. 🙂
It would be nice if HP provided documentation with a bit more clarity. We always have to poke through them to find details.

My machine currently has a 500 W PSU and a NVIDA GeForce GTX 1660 Super (6 GB 6 DDR 6 dedicated). The current graphics card does have a power connector connected to it. There are also more connectors coming off the power supply for different pins counts.
I think I answered everyone's question.
It appears I might be able to get away with a 3060 ti or at the very least a 3050 ti according to the comments.
Feedback and collaboration is always welcome and encouraged.
Thank you to everyone for the feedback.

Hi Erico,
You are absolutely right, Sir. Indeed, with my own experiences in mind, trying to find specific HP documentation gives new meaning to the concept of "information mining". ⚒
Thank you for your input, and I wholeheartedly support contributing to agreeable collaboration to help out HP users.
Kind Regards,
NonSequitur777
