Hi @jeffbrown1,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If the H and G keys on your HP All-In-One Desktop PC 27-Cb1000i's wireless keyboard require excessive force to register, there are several steps you can take to address the issue:
Check for Physical Obstructions:
- Gently remove the keycaps of the H and G keys using a keycap puller or a flat tool.
- Inspect the area underneath for any debris, dust, or crumbs that might be causing the keys to stick.
- Clean the area using compressed air or a soft brush. Be careful not to damage any components.
Re-seat the Keycaps:
- After cleaning, reattach the keycaps securely. Ensure they are properly aligned and seated.
Check for Damage:
- Inspect the keycaps and the underlying mechanism (the switches) for any signs of physical damage. If any parts are broken or worn out, they might need to be replaced.
Software Issues:
- Ensure your keyboard drivers are up to date. Sometimes, keyboard issues can be resolved by updating the firmware or drivers.
- You can check for driver updates through the Device Manager in Windows or by visiting the HP Support website.
Test with Another Keyboard:
- If possible, try using another keyboard with your computer to see if the issue persists. This will help determine if the problem is with the keyboard itself or the computer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
