Recently I was able to purchase a used HP PC off facebook buy and sell. I am going to be using the PC for an arcade cabinet build, but I am looking into upgrading the current GPU to some older GPU's I have. I'm not worried about space since I will be mounting components on a wood backing. Below are the specs of the machine so far.
- AMD FX-6100 3.3 GHz (3.9 GHz turbo) CPU
- 10 GB DDR3-1333 RAM
- Nvidia GeForce GT 520 GPU
- Gigabyte M3970AM-HP (Angelica)
- 1.5TB HDD
- Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OS
- 300W PSU
Below are Links to 2 old GPU's I have.
XFX Radeon HD 6870: https://www.amd.com/en-us/products/graphics/desktop/6000/6870
XFX Radeon HD 5750: https://www.amd.com/en-us/products/graphics/desktop/5000/5750

I understand I will need a new PSU, but I want to make sure 1 of the 2 cards will at least work with the HP BIOS before spending money on a new PSU.

The HD 5750 draws 86 W, the HD 6870 draws 150W. Both are compliant with WIN 7 Legacy BIOS because both were manufactured prior to 2012. I would suggest a Corsair CX600 PSU. It owuld have the proper size and cabling for either.
