Product: HP ENVY Desktop PC TE01-5000i RCTO Base Model
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

Background:

HP ENVY Desktop PC TE01-5000i RCTO Base Product number: 8S0B9AV

 Motherboard: 8B3B A (SMVB) by HP 

Current HDD: ST1000DM014 (Sata11)

 

Looking to buy a replacement HDD for above listed HDD. Cannot find above ST1000DM014 (Sata11) in the retail market

I was told the motherboard > 8B3B A (SMVB) by HP supports SATA 11 & SATA 111.

If I cannot find ST1000DM014 (Sata11) which came with PC as purchased, can I use SATA 111 without adjusting BIOS or if adjustment is needed where do I find the steps?

Is there a need to be concerned with SATA 111 specs and the current Samsung SSD in the PC?

SATA III drives are generally backwards compatible to SATA II

My Info:
"Currently owning an Elitedesk 600 G3 running smooth as silk with Windows 11. But servicing Desktop and laptops running Windows"
