Product: HP Compaq Elite 8300 Convertible Minitower PC

I have an 8300 Elite CMT mini tower. Does anyone know what the maximum size HDD I can install on this MOBO? I have a couple of HGST 8TB SATA drives. I upgraded the BIOS to 3.08. If I need SATA card, does anyone have suggestions on which card will work? Thanks

Welcome to our HP User Forum!

 

At the very least, a 4TB drive (HDD or SSD) would be compatible.  I don't see a problem for you to try out one of your 8TB drives, your desktop has plenty of SATA data slots.

 

The worst that could happen is that your 8TB drive doesn't work at all, or exhibits read/write/allocation issues.  If that happens, then you know.
