Omen 870-200nl
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello ,

I have this system : OMEN by HP Desktop PC - 870-200nl Product Specifications | HP® Customer Support

I inserted the third HDD, a Toshiba X300 6TB.
HP original SATA connection cable and identical to the 2 cables already present.
Power cable already prepared inside the computer.
I initialized this unit correctly, copied the first data into it.

PROBLEM: Each time I shut down the system, this unit is no longer recognized by W10 in any way at the next start. Doesn't exist in explorer, doesn't exist in device manager, doesn't exist in disk management.

If I enter the BIOS instead, it is always present.

If I start the HP software for the system check it is always recognized.

Solutions without (apparent) sense:

1 I enter the BIOS, select "restore defaults" save and exit. At the next startup, the unit is correctly detected by w10 and can be used without any problem.

2 I access the HP software for hardware control at boot time. I go out and continue with starting W10 (without the machine stopping) the unit is correctly detected by w10 and can be used without any problem.

Any system reboot I perform when W10 detects this unit does not cause any problems.

But if I shut down the system, at the next reboot I have to repeat either step 1 or step 2 (described above) to ensure that this unit is detected again by W10.

This is not a joke and this has never happened to me.
Out of warranty product with ALL DRIVERS UPDATED.

Note : HDD is in SATA3 port;

SATA0 and SATA2 for the others 2 hard drive - - SATA 1 for DVD slot (factory configuration for SATA 0 1 2)

Any idea to fix the problem?

Ok guys, sorry: my inexperience has made things seem more difficult than they are

.

The question is much simpler: W10 does not identify the third unit before rebooting.

1 I shut down the computer. At next boot (click the Power button) hard disk drive in SATA2 (third HDD) is not recognized by W10. (the other 2 instead work correctly)

2 At this point, if I restart the computer (Go to Start, select the Power button, and then select Restart) all the units are recognized by W10 correctly and work perfectly.

S

o for the third hard drive to work, a reboot is required every time the computer starts after a complete shutdown.

Can anyone tell me why?

Sorry for the cunfusion of the previous post. I had not yet framed the problem correctly.

Additional Note: The BIOS recognizes the third disk in the same way. If I boot the first time after a complete shutdown and enter the BIOS before restarting the computer, this drive does not exist.

Thank for any help
