HP ENVY Desktop - 750-427c PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My computer has 3 HDMI ports, two of which come with caps.  I am using the upper port to run my monitor.  If I remove the cap and try plugging the monitor into one of the other ports I get no signal.  What are these covered ports for?  Are they just fakes?

The reason I ask is that I am trying to hook up a Huion KAMVAS Pro 12 drawing tablet and it requires an HDMI connection.

Hi:

Since your PC has an add on video card (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750Ti), the onboard Intel graphics adapter is disabled.

That is why there are caps on those two ports.  They would work if you removed the Nvidia graphics card.

Hi:

Here is what you can try with your current configuration...

If you are using the HDMI port for your monitor for video only and no audio, buy a DVI to HDMI cable.

Use one of the Nvidia card's video card's DVI ports to connect to your monitor via the DVI to HDMI cable.

That will free up the Nvidia video card's HDMI port for your other device.
