I have an HP Pavilion Desktop 570-p030 with integrated graphics (Intel HD Graphics 630 supplied by core i7-770).
I've just connected a 2K (native 2560x1440 resolution) monitor to the HDMI port. The maximum resolution being offered to me by the Intel graphics driver with this monitor connected is only 1920x1080.
Upgrading to the latest Intel HD Graphics driver (by way of uninstalling the HP branded driver and installing the latest Intel driver) did not produce any higher resolution offerings.
The integrated graphics are certainly 4K capable, but I believe the output resolution is being limited by a low HDMI version implementation on the motherboard (sub 1.4b).
It would be immensely useful to be able to confirm the version of HDMI implemented on the Lubin motherboard. Instead, it is merely referred to as HDMI, instead of anything useful like HDMI 1.2 for example.

What you have is a mainstream desktop PC and motherboard.
That is probably an HDMI 1.0 which is low spec, in realty you are using the video solution that was delivered on chip with the processor.
Try the SiSoft Sandra lite. It will probably tell you what the HDMI spec is.

Higher specs come with premium products or upgrades.
My solution would be to put in a video card that has the specifications that I wanted.
Video cards will give you the HDMI complete specifications before purchase.
