I have 2 HP-27 All in one computers that came with wireless Mouse preinstalled.

I want to move a mouse from one of the HP-27s to the other. The wireless mouse has no connect button for Pairing.

How do I connect the mouse to the other computer?

@MartyRoger, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If both of your HP-27 All-in-One PCs came with a wireless mouse and keyboard, they most likely use a 2.4 GHz USB dongle/receiver, which is typically pre-inserted into a USB port on the back or underside of each PC.

Here’s how you can move the wireless mouse from one HP-27 to the other:

🔁 Steps to Move the Mouse:

1. Locate the USB Receiver on the original HP-27:

  • Look for a tiny USB dongle (usually labeled as "HP Link-5" or "HP Wireless Receiver").
  • It may be plugged into one of the USB ports in the back, side, or even hidden under a cover.

2. Unplug that receiver from the original PC.

3. Plug the USB receiver into the other HP-27 where you want to use the mouse.

4. Wait a few seconds — Windows should automatically detect it and the mouse will start working.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Thank you for the reply. The Mice that came with our HP-27 All in one have no Dongles. I've check under the top cover like many other mice have thier dongles. there are no dongles in any usb port. Nor is the Mouse listed anywhere but the device Manager. I can delete my old one from the device manager, but cannot add the other one  to the device manager.

@MartyRoger, Thanks for the update — that's a key detail! Since no dongles are present, and the mouse appears in Device Manager, it’s highly likely the mouse is using integrated Bluetooth or HP’s proprietary internal receiver inside the PC itself (less common, but HP does this sometimes with bundled all-in-ones).

Let’s narrow this down and walk through how you might transfer the mouse:

🧩 Possibility 1: Built-in Bluetooth Mouse

If the mouse is Bluetooth-based, then:

How to Pair It to the Other HP-27:

  • Put the mouse into pairing mode:
  1. Look for a button combination like holding Left + Right click, or Left + Scroll wheel, for 3-5 seconds.
  2. On some HP mice, you hold the Power switch to the "On" position for 5+ seconds until the light blinks (if it has one).
  3. If there's no LED or indication, it might be proprietary.
  • On the second HP-27, go to:
  1. Settings > Bluetooth & Devices > Add Device > Bluetooth
  2. Wait for the mouse to appear and connect.

🧩 Possibility 2: HP's Proprietary Internal Receiver

Some HP AIO desktops come with pre-paired wireless accessories that connect via an internal receiver inside the PC chassis, meaning:

  • The mouse is pre-bound to that specific HP-27 unit.
  • You can’t move it between PCs unless you use a new HP dongle or a compatible HP Link-5 dongle.

What You Can Do:

  • Use a spare USB receiver (HP Link-5 if your mouse is compatible).
  • Or purchase a new HP wireless mouse with its own dongle

I hope this helps!

Thank you.

Tried your suggestions for transfering the mouse to the other PC, but doesn't help. I guess I'll have to get another mouse with a connect button.

The reason for the change is that the wheel on my mouse that came with my PC doesn't turn very well now. The finger slips on the wheel.
