Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

Super frustrated user here.  I'm not an expert, but by no means a novice with updating firmware, bios updates, installations etc.

What I'm finding is that several months ago - not exactly sure when, I noticed that my touchscreen was disabled.  I discovered this when my older kids sat side by side.  They used to love the touch screen feature so they'd watch me work (until I bought them their own touchscreen laptops).  So point of that story being,  I had a touchscreen all in one pc when bought.  I know it, my kids know it, and my husband knows it.

With whatever update windows had, it would seem somehow not only is the touchscreen disabled.  I updated all windows updates and HP bios updates.  What I'm finding is my computer is relaying that my PC has no pen or touch input available for this display, as pictured below.

I know this to be factually untrue, so after an exhaustive effort to get an HP rep on a phone line I started digging into it on my own.  So using the device manager, I decided to view hidden devices.

This is what I get:

As you can see the HID compliant touchscreen is grayed out, which looks to be it was disabled and no longer usable with any of the updates I've seen online for HP or Windows.  There is virtually NO DOCUMENTATION anywhere to help with this issue.  I've used the website to look up the issue, I've used the HP Support Assistant, the forum, the virtual chat, which is completely automated and useless for this type of problem to no avail.  Looking for someone that can actually help with a resolution.  Please and thx.

I've tried this prior to my post and it hasn't worked:

Problem is I can't find type of touch screen I may have had.  I have no idea why this won't work.  I know factually that my computer was bought as a touchscreen out-of-box.  With several people in my household to prove this.  But all indications to every resolution, bios updates, driver updates, etc indicates that it is no longer a touch screen computer, or never was.  The  exact reason for my frustration and posts regarding this problem.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ViW3LiDfxIM
