HP 290 G1 Small Form Factor PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an HP 290 G1 Small form factor desktop that is not reading any m.2 SSDs. About a month ago I booted in the morning and it showed as having no boot device, however I was able to do a system restore and this sorted.

The same happened again however it would boot and then freeze up, could get into BIOS sometimes however after about 3 clicks it would freeze again, took the drive out and whacked into an external drive enclosure but doesn't show up so guessing that's dead. Putting a drive I know works into the HP PC doesn't register it, however I can navigate through the BIOS without it freezing up. Would there be any way to fix the original SSD?

Guessing this is a board issue and would have to be swapped out? Have flashed the BIOS to no avail, removed CMOS and reinserted as well as resetting to factory settings but nothing seems to work, any suggestions that would save me having to replace board?

TIA
