HP Pavilion 510 Desktop PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I wanted to register my disappointment and disapproval that the HP Pavilion 510 Desktop PC

does not provide a disk activity light.  Otherwise it seems like a good solid system.

@michael_coulter,

Just for you, I downloaded and tested this taskbar hard drive activity indicator.    When it disappears, just hit the "up arrow" (show hiden icons) on taskbar, and drag icon to taskbar.

Hello Michael,

Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A great place where you can find solutions for your issues with help from the community!

I understand your concern. If you talking about the CD\DVD drive led activity light.

You can find the led indicator right next to the eject button.

However, if you are looking for a hard disk activity light then this desktop does not have an option.

It’s very few desktops where HP has a led indicator for hard disk activity.

Let me know if this helps.

Have a great day!

Thanks.  I already found something like this.  Better than nothing, but I still wish there was an LED.

Agreed...  a disk activity light may seem minor but with the unpredictable nature of Windows 10, it is beneficial to see if there is actually some activity on the machine or not.  Love my Pavilion Notebook as it is super quiet but the lack of an indicator makes it difficult to determine if there is something happening or if the machine is just stuck.
