I want to update to W11 on my HP 510-p030. The i7-6700T isn't supported. Is there a processor that will go on the Hamar motherboard?
Form factor: uATX: 20.5x22.0 cm (8.1x8.7 in)
Chipset: H170

Processor socket: LGA 1151

@colsar , welcome to the Community.
Here are the Motherboard Specifications for your computer. If you look at the section titled "Processor upgrade information" you will find a list of compatible processors. The i7-6700T is the top of the list. These processors have all been fully tested to assure they are compatible with the motherboard. If a processor is not on the list it most likely will not work. One of the key components for Win 11 is a TPM 2.0. I am not certain that your motherboard will have it.

Hi, the W11 system check tells me the i7-6700T installed is not sufficient. With it being at the top of the list in the specs, I assume it's the best processor available? I guess I'm out of luck if that's the case (as long as that list is up to date!). Thanks.

Hi, @colsar
If you want to try out W11 on your PC, you can use one of the several W11 hardware check bypass methods to upgrade to W11.
I have done this successfully on many HP and Dell desktop and notebook PC's.
I found this method to be the easiest way to do that.

Before you try upgrading to W11, I recommend that you make a system image of your current W10 installation prior to updating to W11, so you can easily reinstall W10 in the future. I used the free Macrium Reflect software to do that, under the Backup at Home section.
Along with the system image, make sure you create the bootable DVD or USB rescue drive you boot from to access the system image stored on your portable hard drive.
