Product: HP 530

Hello. I have old notebook HP 530 with celeron M 410  1.46Ghz. It has 940GML chipset. I want to do cpu upgrade.

I know that if you had 945GM chipset you could go up to core duo 7600. The 940GML officially supports celerons only. Is there any better cpu that would work with this notebook ?

I heard that some 533MHz FSB processors could work like the core duo 5200

The best possible processor that would be compatible for your HP 530 Notebook as fitted with the 945GM chipset, and according to: https://www.cpu-upgrade.com/mb-Intel_(chipsets)/945GM_Express.html, followed up by: https://www.cpu-upgrade.com/CPUs/Intel/Core_2_Duo_Mobile/T7600_(Socket_M).html, would be the Intel Core 2 Duo Mobile T7600.
