@590_p0016ur_fan,

The HP Pavilion 590-a0011ur is fitted with either the KensingtonP motherboard (SSID: 843E) or the Clivia-E2 motherboard (SSID: 8436).

These computers can be fitted with up to 2x8GB of DDR4 PC4-19200, 2400 MHz, Non-ECC, SODIMM, 260-pin RAM for the KensingtonP motherboard and 2x8GB of DDR4 PC4-19200, 2400 MHz, Non-ECC, UDIMM, 288-pin RAM sticks for the Clivia-E2 motherboard.

According to the specs, the KensingtonP motherboard supports the ultra-low-power (10-watt TDP) Intel Pentium Silver J5005 processor only, and the Clivia-E2 motherboard (who comes up with these names anyway) only supports the low power (25-watt TDP) AMD Dual Core E2-9000 APU only.

In other words, these motherboards are designed with the processor soldered directly to it in a "System on a Chip" (SoC) configuration.

However, when we go to the HP Pavilion Desktop 590-a0xxx benchmarks: https://www.userbenchmark.com/System/HP-Pavilion-Desktop-590-a0xxx/97305, we see various different processors associated with either motherboard (Pentium Silver J5005 and the Intel Celeron J4005 for the KensingtonP and A9-9425, A6-9225, and the E2-9000 for the Clivia-E2), so it is not clear to me what processor your PC got.

In any regards, whatever config your HP Pavilion Desktop 590-a0xxx may be, it is a very -very- low performing computer platform, good only for light browsing and office work.  Other than changing your HDD for an SSD, there is really very little you can (or should) do to make this platform any better.

Go to System Information and see what processor you got.

Kind Regards,
