HP 590-p0053w - 180W PSU with GTX 1050 TI (EU models are configured this way)

I recently purchased a HP 590-p0053w, and I have an interesting question regarding adding a GTX 1050 TI to the HP 590-p0053w desktop with 180w power supply. 

I have seen dozens of people on these HP Community boards inquire about adding a GTX 10XX to their systems, and the answer seems to be the same each time: The Pavilion 590/595/690 models are configured with a 180w power supply (and Lincs proprietary motherboard), thus making it difficult (if not impossible) to add a graphics card that requires an additional 75w power draw. The safe thing to do would be purchase the 310w/400w PSU from HP's Part store. 

However, it appears that HP offers several Pavilion models in the EU that are equipped with the same Lincs motherboard + 180w PSU and 1050/1050 TI cards. Here are some examples:

Based on these systems, it appears that one could safely install the 1050/1050 TI inside the U.S spec HP 590-p0053w. Can someone offer some insight into this? Thanks.

well my 590 desktop has a 310W PSU and a Geforce GTX 1060...

there is a big probability that a Geforce 1050/1050ti who dont require external power from PSU to work on your 180W...without the need to upgrade the PSU....

I share your opinion, especially seeing as though HP equips the 1050/1050 TI with the 180w PSU on the Pavilion 590 EU models. However, 80 Gold Plus-rated PSUs are a tad more efficient on the Euro 230V plugs. But we're talking about a 2-3% efficiency improvement. I can't imagine that HP would install the graphics card if there was any real chance that it would overload the system, but you never know. 

Wondering if anyone else can chime in -- hoping that someone on these boards has actually performed the upgrade with success.

Yes true...as i am in EU...and as long as I have 2 year warranty for this PC....you can iomagine I will take it to their imediately if I could notice any overload....it did not happen...usng it for 1 month in full...
