HP 705 G4 ELITEDESK SFF PC AMD A10-9700 cpu replacement?

I have a HP 705 G4 ELITEDESK SFF PC AMD A10-9700 PC with no cpu. Can I install a Ryzen 5 2600 (no onboard graphics) cpu into this device with a successful boot and operation?  There is a dedicated graphics card in the device.

Page 9 of the HP Quickspecs at the link below has the list of supported processors HP offered in the model series and the AMD Ryzen™ 5 PRO 2600 is one of them.

Ok thanks, but just to be clear and precise, I am talking about the original Ryzen 5 CPU only and not the Ryzen Pro CPU with the enhanced security features. Is there any documentation that includes this original CPU? I am not sure if the two CPU's are interchangeable in the HP elitedesk.

I don't know about processors not listed as supported.

This database has a report of processors installed by other users that have a 705 G4 SFF:

I don't see any reports where anyone installed a Ryzen 5 2600.

If you have one, see what happens when you install it.

I don't see any major differences:  Same wattage, same speed, same socket.

If you don't have one, I recommend that you buy a supported processor.
