I  have an Prodesk 400 mini with 16Gb SSD and an i3-7100t Windows 11

 

Till which cpu can i go 

 

I thought till i3-8100 or -i5-8xxxx 

 

Or maybe 9th generation

The subject of your post indicates 800 G3 DM and the body of your post indicates 400 G3 DM.

 

The best processor you can install in the 800 G3 DM 35W is the i7-7700t.

Yes, the chipset doesn't support newer processors.

 

Here are the Intel specs for the Prodesk 400 G3 DM H270 chipset.

 

As you can see from the specs, only the Intel 6th and 7th generation core processors are supported.
