Replacement fan wanted for HP 8000 CMT running an Intel Q9650 Core2Quad. Can I replace the fan alone or do I have to replace the heatsink also? Can anyone recommend a replacement product? Thanks for helping!

Separate the fan and heatsink.

On the fan you should find the manufactures part number.

You can then use that number to find just the fan.

I can only find the Fan/Heatsink combo.

HP Part Number:  593217-001

If you can get the part number on the fan we could help you find just it.

Re: part number on fan in your reply-do you have any idea where the part number might be located?

According to the spec listed here

It shows that you can remove the 4 screws at the bottom of the fan case. No need to unmount the heatsink.

The fan is a 92MM 4 pin PWM fan. You can verify the fan measurements by going here

The RPM is not listed.  If you fan is still working, you could use this program to determine the speed.
