I own the OMEN 30L Desktop GT13-1xxx Desktop (3070ti - 5700G combo)
I am looking to upgrade my CPU to a 5700X3D, but this CPU is not listed in the supported CPU's against the MOBO documentation: https://support.hp.com/si-en/document/ish_4853259-4853773-16
I have read online that support for the 5700X3D was added to a BIOS update (F.14 if I am correct), is this true?
I am currently on BIOS Revision F.13, last updated in early 2022, so I would need to do a BIOS update, is this safe to do through the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics tool on my computer? Are there any risks associated with this?
Any help or clarity is greatly appreciated,
Thank you

Welcome to our HP community forum!
I haven't heard that HP upgraded their latest BIOS to allow compatibility with the Ryzen 7 5700X3D.
As far as I know, the best processors compatible with your OMEN 30L Desktop GT13-1xxx as fitted with the Hana Motherboard (SSID: 8876), are the Ryzen 9 5900X (3.70 GHz up to 4.80 GHz, 12-Cores, 24-Threads) and the Ryzen 9 5950X (3.40 GHz up to 4.90 GHz, 16-Cores, 32-Threads).
You could try out the Ryzen 7 5700X3D of course: the worst that could happen is some angry beeps and/or a BSOD.
Kind Regards,

Unfortunately, HP white-list CPU's and most motherboards only support a specific skew of processors. My Victus for example only supports Ryzen 5000G processors and would fail to boot if I installed a 5600X or 5700X

You are welcome!
Please let us know how things went if you happen to try out the 5700X3D.
