I need to map Print Screen, Scroll lock and Pause keys anywhere on programmable buttons, there is no way to do it. Software do not recognize this buttons from another keyboard just putting * with name of shortcut instead of key pressed. 100$ keyboard software can't program needed keys. I'm working in IT, and need that 3 keys, but there is no way to set it on any of programable butons, what a shame for that good hardware. Any solution pls? I can workaround with some opensoruce software, but i need it on another 2 inputs, that keyboard have, and cant install same software on anything other then Windows machine 😕
And i almost forgot, serial number is not recohnized on HP Support page, as many posts i have read b4.

@MatejHalomi, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Mapping Keys on HP 975 Dual-Mode Wireless Keyboard!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
The HP 975 Dual-Mode Wireless Keyboard allows for programmable buttons, but there have been reports that certain keys like Print Screen, Scroll Lock, and Pause cannot be mapped using the provided software. Here are a few steps you can try to work around this limitation:
Check for Software Updates:
- Ensure that you have the latest version of the keyboard's software and firmware. Sometimes, updates may add new features or fix existing issues.
Steps to Use SharpKeys:
- Download and install SharpKeys.
- Open SharpKeys and click on "Add".
- Press the key you want to remap (such as a programmable button on your HP keyboard) and select the target key from the list (Print Screen, Scroll Lock, Pause).
- Save your changes and reboot your computer for the changes to take effect.
Steps to Use AutoHotkey:
- Download and install AutoHotkey.
- Create a new script and use commands to remap keys. Example script to remap Scroll Lock to a custom button:SCROLLLOCK::Send {SCROLLLOCK}
- Save the script and run it. You can set it to run automatically at startup if needed.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
