RAM Slot is supposed to be next to CPU under copper heat sink (snaky thing) but cage over it is soldered to motherboard & cannot be removed.RAM Slot is supposed to be next to CPU under copper heat sink (snaky thing) but cage over it is soldered to motherboard & cannot be removed.

Does anyone else have this issue?  This is the motherboard (MonkD) of my HP All In One 24 dp0014.  This AIO is supposed to be RAM-upgradable to 16 GB, but the RAM slots cannot be accessed because it is under a metal cage which is permanently attached (cannot be removed) to the motherboard.

Looks like phillips screws hold that metal shield to the case.  They go through the motherboard to the case

seems to be the same type that are used elsewhere

If not Philips then some type of HP proprietary screw using hard to get special tool like Apple uses

Just a guess as I do not have that system. It may even snap off if you pull on it.
