HP Accessory Center and HP 975 Keyboard Mic Mute Issue

Having issues with using the Mic. Mute button on my HP 975 keyboard on my PC. The keyboard has programmable keys which can be assigned different actions within HP Accessory Center. There are two main issues:

1) In HP Accessory Center, the microphone mute key is assigned the Mic. Mute action by default. However, this action/function does not work. When I assign a different action to the keyboard's microphone mute button (e.g., right-click), the key works fine. All other keys on the keyboard work, so it doesn't seem to be a hardware issue. I have also tried assigning the Mic. Mute action/function to another key, and that does not work either.

2) There is an LED light on the mute microphone key on the keyboard on the top left of the key, and I do not see it turn on.

There is a section that states that the mute key and light function can be turned on/off within the HPAC, but I see no options for this.

I am running Windows 11 and have replicated the same issue on a Windows 10 laptop.

HP Support was not able to transfer me to the correct department or fix the issue unfortunately. I would have posted in the Apps & Services Board, but there is no option for HP Accessory Center, there is also no option for accessories such as a keyboard either.

Great keyboard, just wish I could use the mic mute key for its intended purpose.

I have exactly the same issue with a HP 655 keyboard. It looks like something that affects Windows 10 and 11. Are you planning to sort this out anytime soon?

After contacting support and being unable to fix the issue I gave up. Not a huge issue, but just wish it worked since it is a prominent key on the keyboard that also has a LED notification light and neither function works for its intended purpose. I believe it is an issue with HP accessory center and its implementation of the Mic. Mute function. I will update this post if I find a fix.
