You have an HP 24-e042cy
The original HD is a standard 3.5" 1TB unit. You would have to adapt the tray to accept a 2.5" HD.
Crucial does not list your unit, the closest is the e048cy, so call them.
When a 3.5 " SATA drive is used in the AIO models, it will incorporate a fully enclosed hard drive caddy. This caddy has 1 screw on the rear. After removing this screw, the caddy is pulled rearward to disengage the assembly. The use of a 2.5" drive, whether mechanical or SSD does present a unique mounting situation. I will use an SSD as the example.
1) The SSD is plugged into the motherborad socket.
2) Hard drive caddy is carefully slid into place.
3) Using thin flat washer that exceeds the punched holes on the caddy, 2.5" hard drive screws (maybe 2) would secure the drive. The trick is the keep the SSD plugged into the motherboard as you apply the screws.
