HP All-in-One PC 22-df0000i (8WK22AV)

My PC keeps hanging. I so some work on an academic web portal answering student questions. There are others who do as well. I am uniquely facing thia issue where my cursor stops and message "web page unresponsive' pops up and remains for some time. It even snaps often, wasting all my time and effort. Others say they dont have such issues. So is this a PC issue? How to resolve? I have emptied the cache and optimized the performance as well. It still persists. The processor chip is i5-1035G1. Is it a RAM issue or something else? Help me.

Hi @GVR1963

Welcome back to the Forum.

That's a tough one to answer. How does the PC run when it is not connected to the internet? Browsers use a lot or RAM.

Your PC may only have 8 GBs of RAM installed at the factory.

The i5-1035G1 is a four core processor running at a base speed of 1.0 GHz. This CPU can do short turbo bursts of up to 3.6 GHz.

And your PC may have a slow platter HDD.

Plus a slow Internet connection can also cause this symptom.

My wife had a Laptop similar to your PC's config. i upgraded the RAM and installed a SATA SSD (no M.2 socket). We also have a fast internet connection.

The upgrades did not help much, the PC was still very sluggish.

You could add more RAM and do a M.2 NVME drive upgrade but the processor could still be a problem even if you have a fast internet connection.

Regards
