Linux

My motherboard is IPISB-CH rev1.04 with i7. Linux Mint Vera OS. HP shows BIOS update sp55548.exe.

How can I update my BIOS? That file isn't usable as-is. I can construct bootable usb.
I have both wired and wireless I-net available.

Why can't HP offer a usable alternative for Linux? Thanks.

hi

Solved: Firmware (BIOS) update for HP Envy 700-060ea from Linux - HP Support Community - 8192842

it is only for information
different computer, linux version can be also
but a solution indicated here
if in doubt, I would advise you to install the original windows version, for this update
and anyway, only if you have a real need to try
if the computer works normally, it may not bring much
