Product: HP Pavilion p6-2378 Desktop PC
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
The HP CDDVDW SH-216bb SATA CDROM device not working! Will not read &/or recognize DVD's. Latest drivers appear to be installed. Don't know about firmware or software upgrade availability. This is an HP installed piece of hardware. Was working fine up until about a month ago!

It probably over 10 years old by now. Please clean the lens first. If still no help, please replace it or buy a new drive. They are selling a tool to clean the lens and how to clean:
