HP ENVY 34 inch All-in-One Desktop PC 34-c0000 (388P6AV)

This has been asked before but not resolved as far as I can find.  I have an HP AIO 34 that came with the HP 915 keyboard and mouse combo.  The mouse got separated from the system and I had to use a wired mouse.  I recently purchased a new 915 combo but there is no way I can find to pair the keyboard and/or mouse.  This unit does not have a dongle and I can't locate the mouse as a bluetooth device.  What is the resolution for this issue?

Hi @tvccs,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I’m sorry you’re going through this; I understand the concern and don’t worry I’ll help you with this.

To better understand the issue, could you please provide a few more details?

  1. Does the keyboard have any power indicators at all when you put batteries in e.g., Caps Lock light turning on briefly?
  2. Does the mouse light up or show any sign of power when you insert batteries and switch it on?
  3. When you look in Windows 11 Settings → Bluetooth & devices, do you see any Bluetooth adapter listed at all?

 Troubleshooting Steps You Can Try

  1. Confirm battery orientation and new batteries
    • Make sure both the keyboard and mouse have brand new batteries installed correctly, and leave them powered on for a few minutes.
  2. Check Device Manager for hardware support
    • Open Device Manager → look under Bluetooth and Human Interface Devices / Mice and other pointing devices.
    • If there’s no Bluetooth adapter at all listed, that confirms they won’t pair via Windows Bluetooth.
  3. Look for an internal or hidden USB receiver
    • Some HP all‑in‑ones have a pre‑installed USB receiver in a rear port, or a tiny dongle tucked inside battery compartments or in the original packaging.
    • Check all USB ports and the original box packaging again just in case. JustAnswer
  4. Try the combo on another computer
    • If you can plug the original USB receiver (if found) into another PC and see if the keyboard/mouse work there, it confirms the receiver is the missing link.

I hope this helps.
