HP Compaq 6200 Pro Series Ram Upgrade Problems

Hi,

Im attempting to upgrade my HP Compaq 6200 Pro Series from 4gb ram to 8gb- I bought 8GB RAM 1333MHz DDR3 as per specifications in the manual and I'm just getting beeping when I install it.

For reference I ordered this product-

Hi,

Now the memory you bought seems to be "server" memory (ECC buffered memory) even if on the site you linked it says otherwise. Howeverif you take the part number 647897-B21 and look on different sites (many) you can see the specs.

Example:

Also the picture indicates it is ECC memory. This will not work in your desktop.

You need " non-ECC unbuffered DDR3 memory" such as 

http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/compatible-upgrade-for//hp-compaq-6200-pro-microtower

Thank you very much for your help, sadly on investigation I think you may be right!

I hope the company's returns policy is good as I've actually ordered these for 12 PCs!!
