HP Compaq 8000 Elite Small Form Factor PC

I am not able to figure out what's causing the processor fan to make loud noise. it's always spinning fast.

What i did : cleaned whole PC, reseating components such as ram, installed other OS such ubuntu Still, Oiled the fan, Still no Luck:(

if anybody knows about this issue please share with me.

My first suspicion is that a loud (original stock) CPU heatsink fan may indicate that it is about to fail.  A heatsink cooling fan replacement is inexpensive (such as here: HP Elite 8300 8200 Pro 6200 6300 Cooling Fan Foxconn PVA092G12H 92x25mm 4wire 813032021123 | eBay) and easy to swap DIY.

 

However, please humor me and check the BIOS ('thermal') setting for your fan speed.  Is it set all the way the left (lowest=default)?  If not, change to default setting.  How to check: HP Desktop PC - Setting the Minimum Fan Speed in BIOS | HP® Customer Support.
