The 8200 Elite can only use non-ECC memory, and you can find the official specs at the link below...
The memory specs start on page 10.

Strange as it seems, I just plugged 2x2GB modules of non-registered ECC pc3-12800 (1600) memory on an SFF 8200 Elite.
They work like a charm.
What I also find remarkable is how they work together with another non-ECC 2GB module at 1066 MHz.

I tried some working registered ECC RAM I pulled from an HP server, 8GB PC3-10600 sticks (pn 500205-071). Did not boot. The 8200 uses the same speed for its non-ECC RAM.
Same thing in an Optiplex 9020.
Really hoped it would work for a FreeNAS test project.

Btw. password recovery on this website is ABYSMAL... Generally hardly usable on a phone.
All the info I have is on the memtest picture, refer to first and third slot module info on the bottom.
These are non-registered ECC and looking very much like normal DDR3 (as opposed to those registered ones with weirdly aligned memory chips)
