Hello Paul,

    I see what you are saying and I get it now, both sticks combined makes 8gb.  The 8gb on the label threw me off of these and that's why I wasn't getting it on your original post; sorry about that.  I have another one a single 8gb same specks I have to look for it, i will try it later and see if it shows 8gb.

I think you are going to find that 4 x 8 GB of memory will work just fine.

 

That is a very odd way for G.Skill to have labeled the memory.

 

It is a 8 GB kit comprised of 2 x 4 GB modules.

 

Any memory I have ever bought--even if it was a kit, the actual capacity of the single memory module is all that is on there.

Hello,

Sorry for the delay, had a couple of family situations that need my attention. I found the single 8gb stick and after I installed it with the G.Skill kit i had no issues. Total Gigs now are 16gb. I guess the 6300 MT does take 8gb per channel. However, I still need to see if it will work with all channels 8gb each. I will post more later
