HP Compaq dc7600 Small Form Factor memory upgrade

Hello

I have HP Compaq dc7600 Small Form Factor.  I want to upgrade ram memory with 4GB DDR2-800.

I have 2GB of DDR2-667. Will it give more change and will it support DDR2-800 4GB of ram?

Or 4gb DDR2-1066?

Hi:

You have two choices...

You can install 4 x 1 GB of PC2-800 memory, or you can install 2 x 2 GB of PC2-800 memory.

The max is 4 GB one way or the other.

The fastest the memory will run is only 667 MHz, so removing the PC2-667 memory and replacing it with 800 MHz memory, will have zero improvement.

The board does not support 1066 MHz memory.

So the board doesn't support PC2-800 memory sticks? I already wanted to buy them.

They will work, but only at the 667 MHz speed.
