DC5700 MT

I have a DC5700 Micro tower and would like to boost the performance is the Intel E 8600 compatible? and what wopuld i need to o to the PC

Hi:

 

The E8600 would not work in your PC.

 

You can only run supported processors that have a 1066 MHz FSB.

 

The E8600 runs at 1333 MHz.

 

Below is the link to the quickspecs for the dc5700 model series.

Then supported processors can be found on page 8.

 

If you want the E6700, make sure it is the Conroe E6700.   The Wolfdale E6700 will not work.
