Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Hello.

I needed a new BIOS for my: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/details/hp-compaq-6000-pro-small-form-factor-pc/4024462

However, on trying to open the HP support page for it, under Software and Drivers, there is an endless loop saying "HP is compiling your results. This could take up to 3 minutes, depending on your computer and connection speed. Thank you for your patience." It never moves off this message, even up to 1 hour of waiting.

New problem:

My computer's BIOS is so completely toast, I'm not even getting any messages, just 5 beeps and 5 red lights on the front panel, which I have identified to be a "Catastrophic BIOS Failure".

@Kelly170,

I imagine you reset CMOS (disconnect from power, push power button for three seconds to release any residual power, and remove the CMOS battery for 5 minutes). If you got a new CR2032 3V Lithium battery, you may as well try that too in case the battery is dead-ish:

Anyway, not to be a 'party pooper' (to quote Arnold)/spoil your Weekend, but the one time I had this happen to me with a (legacy) desktop, I had to replace the motherboard because I determined that the BIOS chip was defective/corrupted beyond recovery. In case you want to consider that approach, a replacement HP Compaq Pro 6000 SFF motherboard can be purchased online, such as this eBay-Canada purchase option: HP COMPAQ PRO 6000 DESKTOP SFF MB 531965-001 503362-001 503363-000 TESTED | eBay.
