HP ELITEDESK 705 G4 MINI PC PCIE x4

I am looking for information of this socket on the HP ELITEDESK 705 G4 MINI PC motherboard outlined in red.

I am hoping it is a pcie 4x, that I could add an external gpu to it.

Hi:

According to chapter 4, page 43, that slot is for a MXM graphics card.

The manual gives a brief description of the supported graphics card in chapter 2, page 6, item 16.

Thanks, I did see that a while back. MXM socket. What I have found of MXM laptop gpus the slot is a completely different size. But with this information I can look deeper into it. Thanks again.

I couldn't find any further info.

I guess you can go by the laborious process of searching every 704 G4 DM in the parts surfer list and see if you can find one that came equipped with the optional card, and get the part number from it.
