Microsoft Windows 11

I have one of these all in one 34 inch curved i-7 with an on board graphics and a separate graphics card which will black screen repeatedly after using a while (10-20 minutes) for 1-3 seconds.  It's related to the twin video cards and how the bios works the two.  I've tried all the recommendations including re-seating the GTX 1050, running just one of the two from device manager.  The only work-around I found was to disable the Graphics 630 card and re enable from device manager after the first event and then none would occur for the rest of the session whether s/d or put on standby.  When you come back it happens all over again.  I even tried Linux to see if it was Windows driver related.  Because you can solve it temporarily, it's probably not hardware failure or even temporary failure from heat (my first thought way back).

The issue is, of course, HP creating novel, interesting and economic designs some of which are not as tested/supported as their business line of computers.  Business users/buyers would not tolerate glitches like this.  I parked this machine and built a new one from purchased parts (Mobo, processor, case, screen etc) which of course works fine as the quality of purchased parts from major suppliers is way above what HP builds/specs.  I'm bringing the HP unit back from "storage" with the hope a bios upgrade now exists that might solve this.  Doubtful, as this is a specialized low volume unit and wouldn't warrant "extra" support from HP.  It's also not made this way anymore (twin graphics cards) which is no surprise.  We were part of a cool design....that basically didn't work right.

Hi @Houston10,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

This model currently supports Windows 10, try updating the Bios and see if that helps. Click here

We do not have drivers currently for your Current Windows 11 OS.

You may also try installing NVIDIA graphics drivers from the Nvidia website and see if that works.

If the information I've provided was helpful, give us some reinforcement by clicking the Accepted Solution button, that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!
