Hello,
I have recenlty purchased a HP evnby Cureved All in one. It has a
NVDIA GeForce GTX 1050 with drivers 417.35
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8700T CPU @ 2.40GHz
Intel(R) UDH Graphics 630
The problem :
When the NVDIA card reaches 100% usage it simply stop working and goes to 0% causing the pc to lock up, the display simply frezzes. I cannot move the mouse all I can hear is sound if there's any playing. The only way to recover is for the PC to be rebooted.
I don't know if this is becuase it's over heating or something help. Please advice.

Greetings,
Welcome back to the forum.
I am not a HP employee.
Have you updated to the latest Nvidia drivers? Nix this, you are using 417.35.
Try downloading the following software:
FurMark (Link). Set this software to show realtime GPU temps as you run it. Use your PC's native resolution.
It sounds like a heat problem.

Hey,
Thanks for the awesome software. I got to really test the cpu and Gpu to their fullest potential. The GPU got to 86 Celsius and mantained that rate and did not crash. the CPU also kept going at 100% untill the test was stopped. I don't know what is causing this crash. But, I will keep investigativng. Unsure if I should just return the pc and get something different. 😕
Thank you.

Hi Harprabh,
You're very welcome.
86 degrees C on the GPU is very close to the throttle point of about 90 C.
Maybe the CPU is getting hotter than it should. Download HWInfo portable (Link) and Prime 95 (Link).
Open both programs. Use HWInfo to monitor CPU max and average temps while Prime95 stresses the processor. Check all the monitoring parameters in HWINFO while Prime 95 is running. Maybe some other component (motherboard) is getting really hot.
You could run Microsoft's system file checker (Link) to check for system file corruption. Your PC is new so this should not be the issue.
