I am planning to upgrade my 128 GB SSD to a 512 GB SSD.  I would like to know if the HP EX950 M.2 512GB PCIe 3.1 x4 NVMe 3D TLC NAND Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) 5MS22AA#ABC or the HP EX920 M.2 512GB PCIe 3.0 x4 NVMe 3D TLC NAND Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) 2YY46AA#ABC are compatible to my HP Pavillon 595-p0049.

They are both compatible with your system.

In the guide below on page 18 you can see the steps to replace the drive:

You will need to reinstall the OS either by using HP recovery drive, migrating an image or performing a clean install by creating a bootable USB drive with OS on it:
