HI Community,
I opened yesterday a consultation for using my fully working HP EliteDisplay E201 with a HP Laptop with Windows 11.
I am very disappointed about the reply from the Support Service as the only answer I got is the screen is from 2013 it cannot be used with Windows 11.
From my point of view having a planned obsolence in a product like a (very good) screen only makes me not trusting anymore HP and looking for another solution and another brand for next purchases. It will create thousand of dirty and not re-usable support devices and it has a cost for everyone (environmental cost).
I am very sorry about this way of working and I would like all of you to think if HP will be the best for the future, as they seem not to be ready for that.
I will make you a question, would you throw your favourite car just because it is from 2013 or you would keep it until it does not fit your needs? Ok, a screen is not such investment but think about the thousands of screens that will need replacement. It is a very good business at a high environmental cost!
Does anyone has a solution for that?
Thank you very much!
Keep smiling (and away from HP)

Its specs
Why you are saying it won't work with Windows 11 ? It
- Supports VGA analog (cables are provided with select models).
- Supports DVI digital (cables are provided with select models).
- Supports DisplayPort digital (cables are provided with select models).
I can't understand why Windows 11 does not support those connections. How to you connect it to your computer ?
Regards.

Hello Banhien,
Thank you very much for your reply and interest.
Indeed all what you said is correct BUT Windows 11 does not detect the hardware.
There is NO PROVIDED HP driver for it, so even it is correctly connected it is not able to detect it.
I connected it through the AVG cable.
On the same hand, I tried with another computer (my wife's computer) I have at home with Windows 10 and it worked fine (as expected).
So the problem, as I was trying to explain is the support from HP providing a driver for WINDOWS 11.
Hardware working ok.
Driver NOT working.
Thank you very much,
Kindest regards,
