I know this is completely unrelated to this post but i recently saw you upgraded a z2 g4 workstation and I also have the same pc and I would really appreciate it if you helped me with my build and here’s my specs cpu:Intel i7 8700 cpu cooler is the ordinary one 16 gigs of dddr4 ram 250 watt psu I’m gonna upgrade to 650 watts and I found these 2 gpus which one is better for the pc msi rtx 3060 or zotac 3070

Well, in terms of graphics performance, the RTX 3070 would be the better option.

There should be plenty of space to fit an RTX 3070 in an HP Z2 Tower G4 Workstation, especially if you got a smaller-sized (two fan) model. If you never used this graphics card, I wouldn't worry about changing the thermal paste.
Unless you upgrade your processor to a "K" version and/or a 9th gen version, your current CPU heatsink/cooler will most likely be sufficient.
If you do upgrade your processor, please see what I did in my upgrade link: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/Upgrading-an-HP-Z2-Tower-G4-Wor...

Yes, it would be helpful to improve the airflow in your desktop to avoid graphics card/CPU overheating. Let me show you what that could look like: I added three 9025 blue LED cooling fans: two behind the front panel and one in the side panel, all blowing air in:
And yes to 60+ fps for gaming (high settings at 1080P), yes, and yes.
